On Sunday July 20 Bango Media celebrated Brisbane’s first Aguila Colombian Independence Day Festival, proudly presented by Revelry Entertainment.

The vibrant street style festival, hosted by the hilarious Kip & Luttsy from Nova and the beautiful Colombian Ambassador Daniela Pinoa, was a HUGE SUCCESS!

Hundreds of people came together to honour and celebrate the day Colombia became a self-governing republic on July 20, 1810, after overthrowing Spanish rule.

Leading up to the event, Bango Media worked closely with Revelry Entertainment to promote the festival and create a buzz of excitement in the community.

The Colombian festival secured mentions and headlines in a number of local Brisbane publications including mX, Bmag and the Courier Mail.

It was also covered by The Urban List, Weekend Edition, Fashion Weekly and many other popular online publications.

Bango Media even managed to secure live TV coverage with Network Ten just a week before the event took place. To get the party started festival organizers were featured on the Projects Whip-Around and also interviewed by Josh Holt during the weather segment of Eyewitness News.

What an incredible couple of months it has been working on this exciting new Colombian festival. We have loved every minute of it and can’t wait to swing our hips again like Shakira, feast on empanadas and shot some chupitos next year!
